The Move Makers are Certifiably Awesome

Professional development is a very important part of our mission at The Move Makers.  Since our clients engage us to help them make important decisions about their personal belongings and navigate the process of moving and creating a new home, our Project Managers and Professional Organizers routinely earn professional certifications in several industry-related areas, the better to serve them. Here’s a snapshot of our achievements:

Operations Manager Rachael Langtry is certified as a SMM-C (Certified Senior Move Manager) by NASMM, the National Association of Senior and Specialty Move Managers. NASMM sets high standards and protocols for the senior move management industry, and, according to the NASMM website, an SMM-C certification “exemplifies an expanded knowledge of essential operation and client service issues unique to Senior Move Management.” Rachael has a background in professional organizing and served as a board member for NAPO, the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals, for many years. Rachael is responsible for leading the Operations team for The Move Makers, including employee training and advancement. 

Project Manager Paivi Panttila Vargas is certified as a SMM-C (Certified Senior Move Manager) by NASMM, the National Association of Senior and Specialty Move Managers. Paivi has a university degree in Textile Design, is a certified Advanced Interior Alignment® Feng Shui practitioner, and a Master Recycler through Oregon’s Master Recycler Program. Paivi brings a resourceful, calm and organized approach to her client projects.   

Professional Organizer and Project Manager Gabrielle Proust is the current President of the Oregon Chapter of NAPO, the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals.  She holds five Specialty Certificates with NAPO, including Workplace Productivity, Life Transitions, Household Management, Residential Organizing and Team Productivity.  She has also earned a Distinguished Toastmaster Certificate Award from Toastmasters International. Gabrielle brings energy and a can-do attitude to every project.

Certified Professional Organizer Jill Viglione is a long-time member of NAPO, the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals, and has served on the NAPO Oregon Board of Directors for multiple terms. She is a Certified Professional Organizer (CPO) which is NAPO’s highest credential for Professional Organizers, and holds Speciality Certificates in Residential Organizing and Workplace Productivity. Jill is a space planning whiz with 11 years of design and drafting experience. She also enjoys helping clients learn the different methods of organizing while redesigning their spaces. 

Professional Organizer Cathy Sevier holds three Certificates of Study in Chronic Disorganization from the Institute of Challenging Disorganization (ICD) in; Chronic Disorganization, Client Administration and Basic ADD Issues with the CD Client Cathy has served many years on the NAPO Oregon Chapter board. Cathy has recently completed the Coach Approach Training Coaching Essentials Course, an intensive, 8-week course on basic coaching skills, methodology and ethics. Many of clients appreciate her calm and professional demeanor as she guides them forward through their toughest organizing challenges.

Company Founder Carolyn Rowe has a background in project management and systems design, is a current board member of NASMM, National Association of Senior and Specialty Move Managers, is a past President of NAPO Oregon and holds the SMM-C certification from NASMM. Carolyn’s experience brings a strong structure to our company through innovative techniques and technology that supports the success of all of the team members in our organization.
